Reliable Long-Term Vascular Access for Safe and Seamless Therapy
A PICC-Port, is the only port with PICC access, it's a type of totally implantable vascular access device (TIVAD) designed for patients who require long-term intravenous therapy, such as chemotherapy, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), or extended intravenous antibiotics.
Unlike external catheters, the PICC-Port is completely implanted under the subcutaneous tissue of the skin in the upper arm, connected to a small catheter that enters a central vein. This design combines the benefits of a traditional chest port with the minimally invasive insertion of a peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC).
